Priscilla Ann Haynes, 76, went to celebrate Christmas in Heaven on Wednesday, December 24, 2025. Priscilla was born on May 7, 1949 in Daviess County and was a member of St. Williams Catholic Church.
Along with her parents, BB and Vivian Howard, she was also preceded in death by brothers Gary, Roger, and Darrell Howard.
Priscilla met the love of her life, Frankie Haynes, in high school and together they went on to create a family built on faith and love. Priscilla’s roles as a devoted wife, proud mother and loving memaw brought her the greatest joy. Frankie and Priscilla recently celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary and were the greatest role models of love and commitment to their children and grandchildren.
She loved her faith and saw God and goodness in all things. She rarely met a stranger and enjoyed talking and laughing with others. Her smile and kind words left an impression on so many. She loved all things beautiful, including flowers and gardening, as evident by her many flower pots, flower beds and gardens. Lunch dates with family and friends kept her heart happy. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, as well as her sisters and family members, creating many special adventures. Many admired her talent for decorating and making her home a beautiful and welcoming place. She used all of her talents and gifts to serve others and create lasting memories for her family. Priscilla loved the joyous Christmas season so it is comforting to know she celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ in heaven this year.
Those left to cherish her memory and continue her legacy of love are her husband, Frankie Haynes; her children, Stacy (Daren) Harper, Steve (Heather) Haynes, Leigh (Brent) Sallee, Tim (Erica) Haynes; ten grandchildren which she adored, Haley (Chris) Zachary, Hannah Harper, Gant Harper, Michael Haynes, Emma Haynes, Evan Haynes, Kelly (Haley) Beaver, Jordyn Beaver, Keaton Haynes and Jaxson Haynes; along with four great grandchildren.
She is also survived by her siblings; two loving sisters Debbie Schofield and Sue (Bob) Henderson; brothers Alan (Linny) Howard, BB “Sweetman” (Shirley) Howard, Ronnie “Mickey” (Penny) Howard, Jerry (Tammy) Howard, Ricky Howard, and sister-in-laws Ida Mae Howard and Sandra Howard, along with many nieces and nephews, several lifelong friends, and her loving inlaws from the Haynes family.
The Funeral Mass for Priscilla will be 10 AM Tuesday, December 30, at St. Williams Catholic Church with burial following in St. Williams Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 PM until 7 PM Monday with prayers at 6:30 PM and from 8 AM until 9:15 AM Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
Priscilla’s smile, laughter, and tender kindness will be remembered by all who knew and loved her.
