Phyllis Huebner Morgan, 90, formerly of Owensboro, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2005, at the Plantation Manor Care Home in Plantation, Fl. She was born in Daviess Co., Ky. to the late George M. & Mary Alice Yeiser Huebner. She was a member of Third Baptist Church and had taught the Young Married Womens Sunday School Class and had taught and was a member of the Fidelis Class. She had worked at Ken-Rad and General Electric at one time. She had a great love for horses and had owned the Triangle Stables, had belonged to several Saddle Clubs in the area, and showed Tennessee Walking horses especially her favorite, Rocket. She also loved reading & crocheting She also was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Morgan on August 11, 2002.
Surviving are two daughters, Jon Ann Morgan of Plantation, and Alice and husband, George Von Essen of Hypoluxo, Fl., two grandchildren, Morgan and wife, Alexandra Von Essen of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl., and John Von Essen of Lighthouse Point, Fl., and four great grandchildren, a sister, Rhoda Bailey of Owensboro, and several nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews, and great great nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 16, at Glenn Funeral Home with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
