Phyllis Elaine Johnson

Phyllis Elaine "Hilly" Johnson, 53, of Owensboro, died Saturday, October 11, 2008, at the Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born April 5, 1955 to the late Francis and Ernestine Thompson Higdon in Daviess County, and had worked at Pinkerton / Swedish-Match for 38 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Johnson in 1996.

Survivors include her daughter, Hadley Johnson of Owensboro; two grandchildren, Rashon A. Crowe and Daeshyne K. Crowe; her sisters, Kay Clark of Owensboro, Pat Montgomery of Pleasant Ridge, Brenda (David) Havener of West Louisville, Evonne (Larry) Higdon and Jenny Sanders, both of Whitesville, her brother, Lowell Higdon of Owensboro; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Moses and Shirley Johnson of Utica; several nieces and nephews and her Pinkerton family of many years.

Services will be private, visitation will be 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM Monday at Glenn Funeral Home, with prayers at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
