Phillip W. Nash

Phillip W. Nash, 47, of Owensboro, passed away Monday, December 16, 2024 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born October 14, 1977, in Owensboro, to Leon Nash and Sharon Lanham Nash. He graduated from Owensboro Catholic High School. 

Phillip had worked at Sazerac Glenmore Distillery for 13 years. He attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Phillip enjoyed sport shooting, military memorabilia, movies and the show “MASH”, history, Star Trek, Notre Dame Football and building model cars, planes, etc. He had also been taking flight lessons. Phillip was known amongst many of his friends as “Too Tall”! He loved spending time with family, especially his new grandchild, Kasen. Phillip was a man you could count on and he will be dearly missed by many.

 Phillip was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Nash; sister, Mary Michelle Nash; brother, Brad Nash; maternal grandparents, Woody and Elizabeth Lanham; paternal grandfather, Ishmael "Eck" Nash; and an uncle, David Paul, Randy and Earl Nash.

 He is survived by his daughter, Emily Nash of Owensboro; a three month old grandson, Kasen Nash-Faith; father, Leon Nash and his wife, Rose Mary of Newburgh, IN; siblings, Stephanie Nash Donovan, of Owensboro, and her children, Taylor and Christian, Shannon (Jim) Bartimus, of Owensboro, and their children, Matthew and Christopher Bartimus and Kristen Fulton, Rob (Kara) Nash, of Owensboro, and their children, Jacob and Ella, and Steven (Mary) Nash, of Lexington, and their children, Noel and Maggie; sister-in-law, Melissa Edge and her daughter, Gracie; step-siblings, Theresa (Rich) Miller, of Jacksonville, FL, and their children, Samantha and Alexandra, and Jason Phelps, of Newburgh, and his children, Kylee and Kent; paternal grandmother, Mary Stella Nash, of Whitesville; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and his beloved dog, Gunner.

 The funeral Mass will be at 10:30 AM, Saturday, December 21 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00 until 7:00 PM, with prayers at 6:30, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, and Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of Mass at the church. Private burial will be at St. William Cemetery.

 Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
