Phillip R. Fogle

Phillip R. Junior Fogle, Jr., 84, of 5058 Back Square Dr., Owensboro, formerly of 2615 Concord Terrace, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2006 at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born in Daviess Co., Ky. to the late Phillip Radford & Mary Elizabeth DeMar Fogle, Sr. He was retired from the former Pinkerton Tobacco Co., and had also worked at General Electric Co. for 24 years. He graduated from the St. Louis College of Mortuary Science in 1946 and worked from 1947 until 1951 at Glenn Funeral Home in Whitesville. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post #9 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #696. He enjoyed golfing, Atlanta Braves baseball, and supporting Special Olympics. He was of the Catholic faith and had attended Blessed Mother Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Goetz Fogle on July 11, 2002.

Surviving are two sons and their wives, Phillip & Lynn Fogle of Masonville and Jim & Mary Fogle of Rough River, and a daughter and her husband, Martha & Bruce Heubach of Edmond, Ok., a special friend, Sarah Belle Bennett Watson of Bowling Green, Ky., four grandchildren, Bradley Fogle of Henderson, David Fogle of Masonville, Carrie Dockery of Owensboro, and Catherine Sands of Roswell, Ga., and five great grandchildren, Cole Fogle, Ashlee Bartlett, Hailee Bartlett, Mason Bartlett, and David Sands.

Services will be at 11:30 A.M. Tuesday, May 2, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with entombment following in the Owensboro Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Monday and after 9:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
