Phillip Michael Clark

Phillip Michael Clark, 64, went home to be with Jesus, Saturday, September 24, 2011 at the Owensboro Medical Health System. Born in Owensboro on December 9, 1946, Mr. Clark was the loving son of the late Joseph Bernard and Laurita Mulligan Clark; was a graduate of St Alphonsus High School and the University of Kentucky where he earned both his bachelor and master's degree; was an Air Force veteran, and was retired from Farm Credit Services where he worked as a loan officer for more than 35 years. He was a dedicated member of Immaculate Catholic Church and for more than 15 years attended weekly Eucharistic Adoration at the Carmel Home Chapel. But most importantly, Mr. Clark was devoted to his familya loving husband, father, and grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 37 years, Linda Schweikarth Clark in 2009; a brother, Joe Clark; and sisters, Betty Reisz and Linda Winchell.

Mr. Clark is survived by sons, Courtney Clark (Amber Mikes) , Dr. Aaron (Jill) Clark, Travis (Rachael) Clark, and Tyler Clark all of Owensboro; grandchildren, Madison Nicole Clark, William Joseph Clark, Carson Phillip Clark, Hayden Michael Mikes, and Nolan Matthew Clark; and a sister Barbara Simon (Larry Young) of Owensboro.

Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Immaculate Catholic Church with Father Tony Jones officiating. Burial will follow in St Mary Magdalene Cemetery in Sorgho. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. on Monday and after 9 a.m. on Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where prayers will be said at 6 p.m. on Monday evening.

The family thanks the dedicated doctors, nurses and staff of the Oncology Department of Owensboro Medical Health System and the Mitchell Cancer Center for their loving care of Mr. Clark.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the St Joseph Peace Mission for Children or to the Carmel Home Chapel Fund.
