Percy Eugene LaRoche

Percy Eugene LaRoche, 69, of 6385 Old Ky. 54, Philpot, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2007 at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born in Ohio Co., Ky. to the late Percy T. & Mary Lois Cundiff LaRoche. He was a welder with Custom Fabrication for 33 years and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed working on and restoring street rods, watching Nascar, and hanging out with his grandchildren while bar-b-queing. He was a very loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Joyce LaRoche on Sept. 10, 1981.

Surviving is his wife of 25 years, Priscilla LaRoche, a son, LeRoy LaRoche of Owensboro, six daughters, Kim Schmitt of Philpot, Sue Richardson of Daytona, Fla., LaVeta Evans of Rock Hill, S. C., Lois White of Hartford, Ky., Louise Crown of Salem, In., and Karol Patterson of Owensboro, four brothers, Ross LaRoche of Bloomington, In., David LaRoche and Vernon LaRoche, both of Hawesville, and Delmar LaRoche of Philpot, and a sister, Edith House of Hawesville, 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Services will be 11:30 A.M. Thursday, January 18, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Serenity Hills Cemetery in Hawesville. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 9:00 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
