Peggy Carolyn Clark Eans passed away at her home on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. She was born Aug. 20, 1945, in Daviess County to the late William Rutherford and Amanda Leona Wilson Clark. Peggy was a mother to three sons and a long, long list of children, and their children, that she cared for with immeasurable love in her home for more than 30 years. Peggy had a big heart that she shared readily with the large “Family” that surrounded her.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Phillip Eans, on Sept. 6, 1990; two brothers, William Larry Clark in 1941, and Lyndell Norman Clark in 2022; two sisters, Judith Ann Clark Benson in 2014, and Shirley Jean Clark Oliver in 2019.
Surviving are three sons, Charles Kevin Eans (Noreen Figueroa) of New Rochelle, NY, Gregory Todd Eans (Angie Woodward) of Owensboro, Kristopher Alan Eans (Nikki Kennedy) of Utica; grandchildren Matt Eans (Jan Mariz Daneca Rodio) of Clarksville, TN, Max Eans of New Rochelle, NY, Jackson Eans and Emmy Eans of Owensboro; great grandchildren Mia Julia Christina Eans and Maddison Claire Eans; a brother, Butch Clark of Calhoun; two sisters, Becky Johnson of Ensor and Sandy Conrad (Denny) of Baytown, Texas; and sister-in-law Marilyn Sue (Tony) Davis of Lenoir City, TN.
The funeral service for Peggy will be 2 PM Sunday, May 5, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be Saturday from 12 PM until 4 PM and Sunday 12 PM until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s research Hospital for Children, 501 St. Jude Place. Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
