Pearl Mae Goins, 64, of Owensboro, died Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at Bon Harbor Nursing Facility. She was of the Baptist faith. She loved to sew and make clothes, costumes, and Barbie clothes for her grandchildren, and decorated sweatshirts. She also loved to shop and taught her grandchildren how to hunt for bargains.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rondell Ray Goins, her father, Herman Ellis Red Midkiff, and a brother Ellis Ray Midkiff.
Surviving are three daughters, Debbie Hayden and husband Randall of Philpot, Rhonda Wilson of Owensboro, and Jeanette Goins of Indianapolis, Indiana, her mother Ruby Midkiff of Owensboro, grandchildren Erica and Avery Wilson, Allison and James Hayden, a sister, Sharon Galloway of Rockport, Indiana, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2007 at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. T.A. Prickett officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, and after 9 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
