Pearl Duncan Edwards

Pearl Duncan Edwards, 91, formerly of Maceo died Thursday, December 30, 2004 at the Hillcrest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born July 18, 1913 to Thomas and Bertha Lancaster Duncan, Mrs. Edwards was a charter member of the Maceo Christian Church and now is a member of the Owensboro Christian Church. She and her husband, the late Robert Lee Edwards were the first Caretakers of the Daviess County Fish and Game. Mrs. Edwards loved gardening, cooking for her family, and especially caring for her grandchildren.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John R. Bobby and Betty Edwards of Maceo; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Bill Woodward and Sandra and Houston Miller both of Owensboro; 10 grandchildren, Bryan Robertson, DeWayne Robertson, Michael Edwards, Robby Edwards, Aaron Miller, Daniel Miller, Gayla Hunt, Pam Yeager, Jennifer Edge, and Laura Miller; 14 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Moreland ( and Thelma) Duncan; and two sisters, Katherine Mattingly of Louisville and Essie Early of Reynolds Station.

Funeral services are 11:30 A.M. Monday, January 3, 2005 at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Rosehill Cemetery. Visiation will be from 12-6 P.M. Sunday, January 2, 2005 and after 9 A.M. Monday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Owensboro Christian Church Building Fund.
