Pauline Mae Morrison

June 26, 1925 — April 14, 2008

Pauline Mae "Granny" Morrison, 82, of Owensboro passed away Monday, April 14, 2008 at her daughter's home following a brief illness. Born in Daviess County on June 26, 1925, Mrs. Morrison was the daughter of the late Richard B. and Mary M. (Miller) Payne; was retired from Glenmore Distillery where she was a forelady; was a member of Third Baptist Church; and enjoyed sewing, gardening and especially spending time with her family. She was known for her willingness to tackle any job from roofing the house to chauffeuring her grandchildren. Mrs. Morrison was preceded in death by her husband, John Dewey Morrison, Jr. in 1994; a great-granddaughter, Grace Hancock; brothers, Louis Payne, James R. Payne, James Edward Payne, and William P. Payne; and sisters, Fannie Belle Cooper and Georgia Mae Sandefur.

She is survived by daughters, Carol (and Lelan) Hancock of Maceo and Peggy Morrison Maglinger of Owensboro; grandchildren; Leigh Ann (and John) Kuegel, Larry Curtis (and Lisa) Maglinger, Jr., and Lelan Dale (and Lisa) Hancock, Jr. all of Owensboro; and Bradley John Maglinger of Evansville; great-grandchildren, Johnna Leigh Kuegel, Joshua Lane Kuegel, Emily Elizabeth Hancock, Brooklyn Marie Maglinger, and Clifford Lelan Hancock; sisters, Lottie C. Ensor and Lula M. Payne of Owensboro; brother-and-sister-in-law, Dwane A. (and Patricia) Morrison of Dunwoody, GA; and many nieces and nephews.

Services are 2 P.M. Friday, April 18, 2008 at Glenn Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Stone officiating followed by burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2-8 P.M. on Thursday and after 10 A.M. Friday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Third Baptist Church Building Fund or the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Building Fund.
