Paula Kay Reynolds Horn, 65, is now basking in the light of her Savior. After a hard battle with stage four breast cancer, Paula on March 15th, 2016 at 2:30 a.m. left our world and found herself standing in eternal victory. Paula was born on November 22nd, 1950 in Owensboro, KY to Kenneth (recently deceased) and Joline Spencer Reynolds.
On October 23rd, 1971, Paula married her lifelong partner and best friend, Michael Horn, of Whitesville, KY. They built their life in Owensboro, with the goal to serve their community and build a legacy for their two children Drew and Kayla. Together, they established the Michael E. Horn Family Foundation, which seeks to provide for the physical, mental and spiritual needs of those in the Owensboro and the Daviess County area. She was actively involved with the design of the Mercy Chapel of Hope at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. With Mike, she helped to make the Cliff Hagan Boys and Girls Club Mike Horn Unit a reality.
Paula was one of the founding members of Pleasant Valley Community Church. She was particularly committed to the children's ministry. She found much of her life purpose there as she served and loved everyone. She prayed for each person she met to come to know Jesus Christ, whom she loved with all her heart.
Paula is survived by her husband of almost 45 years, Michael Horn; mother Joline Reynolds; sister Teana Abernathy (Jeff); and brother Steven Reynolds (Peggie). Her beautiful spirit lives on in her son Drew Horn and daughter Kayla Walker, with her husband Addison Walker. Through their lives, her love will be passed on and multiplied. Her sisters-in-law and brother-in-law are Becky Horn (Don Preuss), Judy Hood (Gerald), Rose Foster (Stewart), Patty Kassinger (Carlos), Nelda Flahardy (David) and Tony Horn. She was blessed to have 14 nieces and nephews and a host of great nieces and nephews,
Please join us in celebrating Paula's life at 12:00 noon Thursday March 17th at Third Baptist Church. Visitation will be at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory from 2:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday and at Third Baptist Church from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon on Thursday. Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.
"O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?" The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the VICTORY through our Lord Jesus Christ!
