Paul L. Spalding

August 3, 1923 — April 16, 2003

Paul Leonard Spalding, 79, of 4220 Pendley Court, Owensboro, died Wednesday, April 16, 2003, at his home. He was born in Daviess Co., Ky. and was retired from the American Legion as a bartender and adjutant. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, 40 & 8, and the A.G.C. Flagship Alliance. He enjoyed walking, playing cards, and traveling. He was a Ky. Colonel and of the Catholic faith.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Dorothy Spalding. He is also survived by a number of nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews, and great great nieces & nephews.

Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, April 19, 2003, at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will be in the Owensboro Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Friday and after 8:30 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Association of Owensboro, 723 Harvard Drive, Owensboro, Ky. 42303.
