Paul Lane Puckett

Paul Lane Puckett, 77, of Owensboro, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2007 at his home. Born December 19, 1929 in Clark County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Helem and Ora Bea Aldridge Puckett; was retired from Shelter Insurance where he was a District Sales Manager; attended First Baptist Church and was a member of the Maverick Sunday School Class; was a former Mayor and City Commissioner in Winchester, KY; and was a member of Masonic Lodge 200 F&AM in Winchester, the Rizpah Shrine; and was a 32nd Degree Mason. He was also a Kentucky Colonel. Mr. Puckett was preceded in death by his wife Lucy Almeda Puckett in 2000 and a brother, Cecil J. Puckett and a sister, Thelma Louise Evenson.

He is survived by a son, Eddie (and Donna) Puckett of Owensboro; daughters, Debra L. Puckett of Beechmont and Jacki Lee (and John) Wanner of Owensboro; grandchildren, Michael Puckett, Kathryn Puckett and Sarah Wanner all of Owensboro; and brothers, Carl W. Puckett of Corbin and Eugene Puckett of Lexington.

Services are 11 A.M. Monday, November 19, 2007 at Glenn Funeral Home with Dr. Paul Strahan, Rev. Roy Day and Dr. David Nelson officiating followed by entombment in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1-6 P.M. on Sunday and after 9 A.M. on Monday. A Masonic service will be 5 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home
