Paul Norris

Paul Norris, 88, of Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born October 18, 1928 in Depoy, KY to the late Urey and Beulah Embry Norris. Paul was retired from Green River Steel after 33 years of service. He was a former member of Crabtree Ave. Baptist Church and currently a member of Bellevue Baptist Church. While at Crabtree Ave. Baptist, he had served as a deacon and taught Sunday School for over 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing in Checker tournaments, playing basketball, and spending time with his family. Paul was a member of the Owensboro Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria June Neal Norris in 2007, a brother J. R. Norris, and a sister Corrine Sparks.

Surviving are his son, Kevin Norris and his daughter, Melissa Norris, both of Owensboro, two sisters, Kathleen Nicotera of Bowling Green and Opaleen Sparks of Greenville, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be Noon Tuesday, November 22, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Greenville with military honors. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Monday and after 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
