Paul D. Midkiff, 72, of 12135 Vertress Road, Utica, died Thursday, November 1, 2001 at Owensboro Mercy Health System. He was born September 12, 1929 in Ohio Co., Kentucky the son of the late Lonnie and Bessie Carter Midkiff.
Mr. Midkiff was retired from farming and working in the oil fields. He was a member of Utica Baptist Church and was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He enjoyed watching his grandsons play baseball, 4-wheeling and hunting.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Betty J. Duke Midkiff; one son, Michael Lee Midkiff of Utica; three grandchildren; one brother, Billie Dean Midkiff of Oxford, AL; and one sister, Anna M. Howard of Owensboro.
Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, November 5, 2001 at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Brother George Craig. Burial will follow in Greenbriar Cemetery. His family will receive friends at Glenn Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, November 4, 2001 and after 9:00 a.m. Monday.
