Paul G. Maxwell

Paul G. Maxwell, Sr., 83, of 2200 Daniels Lane, Owensboro, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, September 21, 2007 at his home. He was born in Ohio Co., Ky. on April 14, 1924 to the late Oda and Mary Etta Dodson Maxwell. He was a retired farmer and Sawmill Owner. He was an active member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church and a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. He enjoyed fishing, raising a garden, playing cards, and most of all spending time with his family. He was also preceded in death by his first wife of 47 years, Elizabeth Dee Buskill Maxwell on October 25, 1994. twins Betty and Bobby Maxwell in 1952, and a brother, Ralph Maxwell.

Surviving is his wife of 11 years, Margie Hoagland Maxwell, three sons, Tom Maxwell and wife Angie, Joe Maxwell and wife Beverly, and Paul Maxwell, Jr. and wife Becky, all of Owensboro, two daughters, Brenda Davis and husband Dennis of Owensboro and Sandy Clark of Livermore, 12 grandchildren, Stephen Maxwell, Kim Maxwell, Larry Maxwell, and Nathan Maxwell, Traci Davis, Jeff Davis and wife Stacey, and Karen Davis, Christy Dalton, Cindy Curtis, Stephanie Tuell and husband Brandon, Scott Clark, and Shawn Clark, six great grandchildren, two brothers, Bill Maxwell and wife Dorothy of Owensboro and Johnny Maxwell and wife Dorothy of Calhoun, and a sister, Ann Tafarella of Owensboro, and brothers and sisters-in-law, Milton Buskill and wife Evialyn, Ray Buskill, all of Owensboro, Michael Buskill and wife Phyllis of Philpot, Edna Wade of Bowling Green, Fred Hoagland and wife Janet of Florida, and Joann Royal of Owensboro, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11:30 A.M. Monday, September 24, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Yellow Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00-7:00 P.M. Sunday and after 10:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home.
