Paul T. Jarboe, 79, of Owensboro, died Tuesday, March 4, 2007 at his home. Born in Daviess County, a son of the late Thomas Augustus Jarboe and Margaret Elizabeth Elder Jarboe, he was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, neighbor, friend, and landscaper and nursery operator. Mr. Jarboe had worked in security at Glenmore Distillery, and for many years was the owner and operator of Jarboe's Lawn Service. The results of his work can be seen throughout Owensboro and Daviess County, including much of the private plantings on the city's famous Dogwood and Azalea Trail. For many years, Mr. Jarboe was responsible for the interior landscaping of all the Executive Inn properties. He enjoyed his garden, hunting, and being outdoors. A member of Sts. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church, he was active with its grounds and landscaping. He was preceded in death by his wives, Mary Joan Hagan Jarboe and Edna Regina Payne Jarboe, a son, Paul Michael Jarboe, and 10 brothers and sisters.
