Paul McLean Ezell

Paul McLean Ezell, Sr., 82, of Owensboro died Monday, December 12, 2011 at Hillcrest Nursing Home. He was born in Ohio County to the late Oscar and Grace Saling Ezell. Mr. Ezell had worked as a mechanic for Field Packing Company for 43 years and had attended Friendly Grove Baptist Church. He was a member of the Greenbrier Wagon Club, showed horses with his daughter Jeana, and raised Appaloosa mules. Mr. Ezell was an avid NASCAR fan, and participated in many drag races and enjoyed his time behind the wheel of his race car, The Blue Goose. He was also preceded in death by his son, Ricky Hall, brother, Oscar Thomas Ezell, and sisters, Edith May Nohe and Jean Luttrell.

Survivors include his wife Virginia Ezell; sons, Paul Ezell, Jr. and his wife Renae of Utica and Josh Hall and his wife Joyce of Columbia, SC; daughters, Gracie Payne and her husband Ron of Owensboro and Jeana Draper and her husband David of Woodburn, KY; a daughter-in-law, Deborah Hall of Owensboro; grandchildren, Chad Payne, Brandy Keelin, Joshua Hall, Allen Hall, Alexis Hall, Chris Hall, Dillon Draper, and April Draper; great-grandchildren, Colton Keelin, Javen Keelin, Olivia Hall, Lauren Hall and Alexander Morgan; brothers, Darrell Ray Ezell and Eddie Ezell both of Utica.

Services will be Noon on Thursday in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday and after 10 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
