Paul C. Edge, 90, of Owensboro, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 at his home. Born in Whitesville on August 6, 1927, he was the son of the late Joseph Michael and Mary J. Sapp Edge and was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church. Paul retired from OMU after 47 years of service as an Lineman and Supervisor. After his retirement he was the owner of Edge Electric, retiring at age 85. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Paul loved to strip wire, playing the lottery, playing cards, country movies and hunting. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Huff Edge in 2006; a son, Paul Steven Edge; a grandson, David Harper; a son-in-law, Michael Foster, brothers, J.R. Edge, Alphonis Edge, and John Tom Edge; and a sister, Clara Bristow.
Surviving are sons, Dwayne A. Edge and Larry D. Edge; daughters, Terri (Thomas) Carrico, Stacy Foster, and Tamara Harper; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a sister, Josephine Weidner.
Funeral mass will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Blessed Mother Catholic Church followed by entombment in Resurrection Cemetery. Military Honors will be rendered at the cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, and after 9 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home where prayers will be said at 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
