Paul W. Decker, 74, of Owensboro died Sunday June 3, 2018 under the care of Owensboro Center. Mr. Decker was born February 20, 1944 in Daviess County to the late Ernie Decker and Anna Louise Morris Decker. Paul graduated from Daviess County High School and attended Kentucky Wesleyan College before serving his country in the National Guard. He became a Millwright working through the union before being employed at Barton Brands/Glenmore Distillery from where he retired. Paul enjoyed playing golf and bowling on a league but he loved riding horses most of all.
Mr. Decker was also preceded in death by his siblings: brother, Earl Decker, and sisters, Louise Decker, May Reynolds, and JoAnn Estes.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 49 ½ years, Betty Leet Decker; sons, Mark Wayne Decker of Owensboro and Paul Decker and wife Stacy of Lexington; daughters, Kristen Baker and husband Tracy and Andrea Cecil and husband Aaron both of Owensboro; ten grandchildren, Brandon Decker, Graham Decker, Brooklynd Decker, Paine Decker, Madeline Decker, Bailee Baker, Tanner Cecil, Blake Baker, Hayden Decker, and Lanee Cecil; four great grandchildren; special friends, Jimmy Reynolds and Rick Guy; numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Decker's request was that services be private for family only.
