Paul Francis Coomes

Paul Francis Coomes, 52, of Owensboro, died Saturday, September 5, 2009, due to a motorcycle accident. He was preceded in death by his father Joseph A. Coomes Jr. in October 1978, his mother, Teresa Helen (Boteler) Coomes in March 2008, and two brothers; Dennis Coomes in January 2008, and David Coomes in December 2000. Paul was a member of the Boilermaker Union Local # 40. He was a hard worker who enjoyed projects that he could complete with his own hands. He loved his family. He was embarking on a new path in life that was cut short. His family will miss him dearly.

Surviving are his children; Joseph Daniel Robertson of Chicago, IL., and Stacy Nicole Robertson of Owensboro, brothers; Thomas A. ( Susen) Coomes, Ivan Coomes, both of Owensboro, sisters; Joyce (Paul) Lambert of Owensboro, Lois ( Charles) Hoskins of Maceo, Rita (Billy) Wood of Owensboro, Doris (Mark) Modist of Ft. Lauderdale, FL., and Jane Coomes of Philpot, the mother of his children; Lou Robertson of Owensboro, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m., and after 12 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
