Paul G. Bland, 63, of 5946 Carter Road, Owensboro, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2005, at his home. He was born in Breckenridge Co., Ky. to the late Tilford & Louise Matthews Bland. He is retired from Aramark Unifrom Service, formerly Todd Uniform, as a route salesman. He was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and farming. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Sharon McGary in June of 2004 and Janice Dailey in June of 1996.
Surviving is his wife of 15 years, Carol Bland, a daughter and her husband, Veronica Louise & Steve Connelly of Winchester, Va., three sons & their wives, James Howard & Karen Bland of Clarksville, Tn., Joseph Everett & Cathy Bland of Whitesville, and Paul Stephen & Mary Sue Bland of Owensboro, a brother & his wife, Louis & Emily Bland of Cloverport, Ky. and a sister & her husband, Deloris & Mack Mattingly of Hardinsburg, Ky., and eight grandchildren, Cori, Curtis, & Kady Bland, Eric Johnson, and Chelsea, Seth, Hannah, & Thomas Paul Bland, and eight step grandchildren, Blake, Kayla, Cody, & Dalton Garrett, and Devin, Patrick, Brian, & Shannon Connelly.
Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 31, at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Whitesville with burial following in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Sunday and after 9:00 A.M. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home. Prayers will be 6:00 P.M.Sunday..
