Pattie Lou Tomes

Pattie Lou Tomes, 85, of Owensboro, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2026 at the Linda White Hospice House in Evansville. She was born November 11, 1940 in Daviess County to the late Hugh and Mary Moore Anderson. Pattie was a homemaker and her favorite thing to do was to go shopping and hang out with her daughters and granddaughter. She was a faithful member of Crosspointe Baptist Church. Her faith in God was foremost in her life and she lived each day as an example of that faith. Also preceding her in death was a brother, Jerry Anderson.

Pattie was survived by her husband of 66 years, Gordon Tomes; two daughters, Lisa McCarthy and husband David and Gail Carlock and fiancé Donnie Bozarth; four grandchildren, Jordan Carlock (Courtney), Brittney McCarthy, Chase Carlock (Megan), and Caleb McCarthy (Mary K.); great grandchildren, Tanner Carlock, Millie Carlock, and soon to be, Millie Kate McCarthy; three brothers, Hugh Anderson, Jr. and wife Susie of Sorgho, Jessie “Buddy” Anderson and wife Terry of Philpot, and Rocky Anderson and wife Judy of Calhoun; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Thursday, January 29 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 AM until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home.
