Patsy Jean Barker

Patsy Jean Barker, 66, of Owensboro passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at the Owensboro Medical Health System. Born in Fruita, CO on September 10, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd McDaniel and Irene Anderson Williams; was retired from the Texas School System where she was a cafeteria manager; was president of the Hood County (Texas) Humane Society for a period, and was an avid fisherman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Earl Thomas Ramsey and a sister, Cheryl Horton.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Melvin and Paula Ramsey of Owensboro; grandchildren, Matthew Ramsey, Sarah Ramsey, Samantha Ramsey, Kenneth Ramsey, and Joshua Ramsey; 5 great-grandchildren; and a niece, Dottie Vanover of Grand Junction, CO.

There will be a gathering to celebrate Mrs. Barker's life at 2 p.m. Monday, January 11, 2010 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Friends and family are invited to attend.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Daviess County Humane Society or the Hood County Humane Society.
