Patrick E. Glenn Wright

Patrick E. Glenn Wright, 78, of Owensboro, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2011 at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born on March 17, 1933 in Ohio County, KY. He was a member of St. Stephen Cathedral and retired as the President of Owensboro Grain Company, after 44 years of service. Glenn was a U. S. Air Force veteran where he served in the Strategic Air Command as a navigator and held the rank of Captain. He was a graduate of St. Louis University where he received a Bachelor degree in accounting.

Glenn served on the Board of Directors of the Cliff Hagan Boys and Girls Club, Central Bank and Trust Company, Owensboro Mercy Hospital, the National Oilseed Processors Association, the Kentucky Feed and Grain Association, and on the Board of Trustees of Brescia University. He was preceded in death by his parents, John E. and Mary Eulalia Thompson Wright and a sister, Shirley Chamberlain.

Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Ruth Helen O'Bryan Wright, his children, Pat Wright and wife Beverly of Greensboro, NC, Helen Cornell and husband John of Quincy, IL, John Wright and wife Kathy of Owensboro, and Bill Wright and wife Shannon of Owensboro, 11 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, his twin brother, John Lenn Wright and wife Faye of Leitchfield and his sister, Judy Wright of Owensboro.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 13 at St. Stephen Cathedral with burial following in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00-7:00 P.M. Sunday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with prayers at 7:00 P.M. There will be no visitation on Monday.
