Patrick Henry Byrne, 82, of 329 East 27th Street, Owensboro, died, Saturday, August 27, 2005, at his home. Mr. Byrne was a retired press operator for Whirlpool in Evansville, and was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church He was aU.S. Army veteran of World War II. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and playing cards. He was preceded in death by his son ,William Patrick Byrne, and grandson, Dennis Patrick Byrne.

He is survived by his wife 60 years, Essie D. Brey Byrne, sons, Kenneth Ray Byrne and wife Delphine, of Owensboro, Daniel Wayne Byrne and wife, Sherry of Morris, Ilinois, daughter Lisa West and husband David, of Utica, and daughter in law, Claudia Byrne of Utica, 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 30, 2005 at 10 a.m. at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday, and after 8:30 am Tuesday. Prayers will be at 6 p.m. Monday.. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice, or expressed online at www.glennfuneralhome.com.
