Patricia Marlene Payne, 73, of Owensboro passed away Thursday, April 7, 2005 at Leisure Years Nursing Home. Born in Birmingham, England on January 20, 1932, Mrs. Payne was retired from Lincoln Services where she was a clerk. She was a member of St. Stephen Cathedral; enjoyed listening to music, gardening, playing cards, and arts and crafts. Mrs. Payne met her husband, the late Fabian Ignatius Payne, in Malta while he was serving in the US Navy and she was in the British Navy.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and David Early of Reynolds Station; four grandchildren, Melissa Schoaff of Owensboro, James Davy Early of Pennsylvania, Sabrina McKinney of Oklahoma, and Forrest Early of Reynolds Station; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Wilcock of East Lancanshire, England; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 2 P.M. Monday, April 11, 2005 at St. Stephen Cathedral with entombment in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be at Glenn Funeral Home from 1-7 P.M. on Sunday and after 10 A.M. on Monday. Prayers will be at 7 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Humane Society.
