Patty Gail Rahn, 60, of Owensboro, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 15, 2026. Born on June 8, 1965, Patricia lived a life overflowing with faith, love, and joy that touched everyone blessed to know her.
Patricia’s faith in God was the cornerstone of her life. She loved the Lord fiercely and lived each day as a testament to His grace. Her family knows without doubt that she is now smiling down from heaven, watching over all those she held dear.
Family was everything to Patricia. She was most proud of her sons, who grew into incredible men, and she spoke of them often to everyone around her. She beamed with joy watching them choose wives who love, care for, and support them and their children in ways she could only dream of. As Oma, Patricia was pure magic. Whether she was baking cookies, playing silly games, reading bedtime stories, or riding unicorns around the mall, she never hesitated to join in the fun. Her grandchildren were her greatest treasure.
Patricia was a shining light who could brighten any room the moment she walked in. Her smile was infectious, her laughter contagious, and she had a gift for making people laugh and blush with her jokes. Those who knew her well remember her special dance with fondness and smiles. She was fun-loving, caring, and fully present—a woman who understood that life’s greatest joys are found in the simple, sacred moments spent with those we love.
Patricia is survived by her two sons, Patrick Goldston and his wife, Ashley, and their children, Frankie and Ellie; and Andrew Goldston and his wife, Rebekah, and their daughters, Lorelie, Ophelia, Evelynn, and Freya. She is also survived by her father, Wilbur Raymond Rice and his wife, Barbara; and her sisters; Deanna Rice McFarland and Caryn Rice Roach.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sharon; her brother, Michael; and her sisters, Rhonda Sue and Baby Girl.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday January 24, 2026, at Karns Grove Baptist Church.
Patricia Gail Rahn will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of faith, love, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of those she touched. She taught us how to love fiercely, laugh freely, and live fully in God’s grace.
