Pat Mercer

Pat Mercer, 69, of Owensboro, formerly of Central City, died on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born July 4, 1948 in Muhlenburg Co. to the late Owen "Buddy" and Willadean Devine Dukes. She was retired as a hairdresser and business owner after over 40 years. Pat was an active member of Owensboro Christian Church and was involved and volunteered in many different ministries at the church. She was an active member of the Auxiliary of Gideon's International for 46 years and had served in many different offices including past State President and past International Auxiliary Cabinet Representative. Pat loved to open her home and her heart to many people, whether for a dinner party or providing someone a place to stay. She enjoyed crocheting, traveling with her husband, and she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Pat is survived by her husband of 50 years, Larry, daughters, Tara Williams and husband Tim, Heather Baldwin and husband Bruce, all of Owensboro, four grandchildren, Rylee, Aiden, and Sydnee Williams and Maddox Baldwin, a sister, Sharon Drace and husband Bill of Utica, an aunt, Ann Margaret Duke of Owensboro, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 10:30 A.M. Monday, May 28, at Owensboro Christian Church with Scott Kenworthy and Gene Andrews officiating. Burial will follow in Rochester Cemetery in Butler County. Visitation will be from 1:00-6:00 P.M. Sunday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory and from 9:00-10:30 A.M. Monday at Owensboro Christian Church.
