Pamela Anne Stoops Nolan, 59, of Owensboro, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2010 at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born on August 10, 1950 in Staten Island, N. Y. She was a member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church and was a Licensed Registered Nurse working for the Owensboro Medical Health System where she was with the "Joint Camp" in the orthopedic unit caring for patients that had had hip and knee replacements. Pamela was a graduate of Daviess Co. High School and Western Kentucky University. She received her nursing degree from the University of St. Petersburg School of Nursing graduating with honors. She was also a former resident of Crescent City, CA and Glenwood Springs, CO. She enjoyed making pottery, sewing, and was an avid animal lover.
Surviving are her parents, Roy and Barbara Stoops of Owensboro, two brothers, Chris and Pamela K. Hendrix Stoops of Springfield, VA and Mark Stoops and his partner Avrea McCargo of St. Petersburg, FL, two sisters, Cindy Stoops Olds and husband Grant of Newburgh, IN and Beth Stoops McNulty and husband Brian of St. Petersburg, and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 20 at Woodlawn United Methodist Church. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the church. Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
