Pamela Sue Anderson

Pamela Sue Anderson, 49, of Graham Lane East, Owensboro, died Sunday, January 23, 2011 at Owensboro Medical Health System. Pamela was born in Syracuse, NY to Ray and Marion Plucknett on August 9, 1961. She moved to Owensboro in 1978 as a senior in High School and graduated from Daviess County High in 1979. She then attended Owensboro Business College. She currently was employed at MPD-MPH as a customer service and sales representative for the past six years, and was a devoted member of the American Legion, worked as a bartender there and was treasurer of the Women's Auxillary and treasurer of the Legion Riders. Pamela was very patriotic, a very loving, caring and compassionate person and very involved with her grandchildren. She was also a member of Settle Memorial United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Tonya Newton and fiance , Steven Mimms, son, Brandon Newton and fiance , Krystal Hatfield, her parents, Ray and Marion Plucknett, grandchildren, Savannah Rae, Kaden Isaiah, Dondre and Tyrik Mimms, her fiancee, Spencer "Spinner" Stinnett and his son, Spencer Drew Stinnett, all of Owensboro, siblings, Rae Lynn (Keith) Stiff of Illinois, and Joe (Claire) Plucknett of Mayfield, KY.
Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Darren Brandon officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 12 to 7 p.m. and after 10 a.m. Thursday. Entombment will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Leukemia Society or to the James L. Yates American Legion Post 9 Memorial Fund.
