Pamala Lou Chapman Bryant, 57, died peacefully in her sleep August 3, 2016 in Owensboro, KY. She was born August 30, 1958 to Louise Conkright Teasley in Owensboro.
Pamala attended school in Owensboro and joined the United States Army in 1975 where she met Calvin Chapman while they were both stationed overseas in Frankfurt, Germany. The two returned home, hopped on Calvin's motorcycle and traveled across country to Wyoming where they married October 27, 1977 in LaBarge, WY.
Pamala thoroughly enjoyed reading, games, gardening, and listening to country music, especially her favorite, Elvis Presley. She worked twenty plus years at many different jobs, including managing the LaBarge Community Center and later owning her own cleaning service. Pamala also volunteered countless hours with the LaBarge Wyoming Drill Team and the LaBarge and Fort Bridger chapters of the American Legion Auxiliary of which she held leadership roles and was an active and extremely proud member. Pamala was also a member of the Catholic Church and held her faith very close to her heart. Pamala moved from Wyoming back to her hometown of Owensboro and remarried. She loved being around her family and pets, and was always happy to hear news of life events from her children.
Pamala is preceded in death by her mother, a brother Milton Wayne Teasley, two sisters, Brenda Kay Roebuck and Kathy Jean Stephens, and a mother-in-law Agnes Chapman.
Pamala is survived by sons, Alvin L. Chapman and wife Kamrie of Draper, UT and Adam Chapman of Evanston, WY; granddaughter Kambria Chapman of Evanston, WY; father-in-law Alvin D. Chapman of LaBarge, WY; sisters, Sherry Nash, Rebecca Frantz, Janice York and husband Wayne of Zephyrhills, FL , and Vicki Tichenor; brothers, Mark Masterson, Kenneth (Steve) Teasley, and Mike Teasley; a special nephew Scott Nash; a special cousin Connie Caldwell; and many other nephews, nieces, cousins, close family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 3pm Sunday August 7 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with visitation after 2pm. Interment will be at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery in Owensboro, KY and Viola Cemetery in LaBarge, WY.
