Otto R. Hayden

Otto R. Hayden, 66, of 4611 Old Hartford Road, Owensboro, died there Sunday, August 12, 2001. He was born February 3, 1935 in Daviess County, Kentucky the son of late Ferdinand and Borgia Higdon Hayden.

He was the owner of Otto Hayden Realty and a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church. He was one of the first to get his C. C. I. M. real estate designation in Owensboro, was a past member of Owensboro Board of Realtors and a member of Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Ethel Marie Mattingly Hayden; three sons, Bob Scheidegger of Bowling Green, KY, Richard Hayden of Owensboro, and Christopher Hayden of Franklin, TN; two daughters, Shannon Garcia of Hendersonville, TN and Lauren Hayden of Washington, DC; nine grandchildren; four brothers, Frank Hayden and Donald Hayden, both of Owensboro, Dennis Hayden fo Frankfort, IN, and Lawrence Allen Hayden of Louisville, KY; and four sisters, Mary Rita Wilson and Elizabeth Wheeler, both of Evansville, IN, Theresa Hayden of Louisville and Sharon Payne of Owensboro.

Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Tuesday August 14, 2001 at Blessed Mother Catholic Church, officiated by Father Freddie Byrd. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum in Owensboro. His family will receive friends at Glenn Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday August 13, 2001 and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday. Prayers will be said at 6:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
