Otis Harold Rogers, 84 of 3418 Lake View Drive, Owensboro, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2005 at Owensboro Medical Health System. A member of Macedonia Baptist Church, Mr. Rogers had taught Sunday school and was a Deacon, had worked for Bass Lumber Company for 31 years, was a member of the Masonic Lodge, and an Army veteran who served in World War II. Mr. Rogers loved the lord, read his bible everyday, was an avid hunter and fisherman, and a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Louise Morris Rogers and his parents, Leslie T. and Lelia P. Winders Rogers.
Mr. Rogers is survived by his daughters, Sandra and Ron Goddard of Owensboro, Janice and Doug Bratcher of Liberty, MO, Vicki and Rob Morris of Owensboro and Mona and David Smith of Maceo; grandchildren, Jeff Goddard, Jason Goddard, Julee Dowdy, Rob Bratcher, Bradley McPherson, Misty Johnson and Windy Howard; great-grandchildren, Chris Goddard, Kensley Goddard, Ben Goddard, Kylee Dowdy, Wesley Goddard Dowdy, Jackson Goddard, Rachel Chapin, Cooper Bratcher, Kiefer Bratcher, Sydney McPherson, Zoe McPherson, Myles McPherson, Mason McPherson, Jacob Johnson, Nolan Johnson, Cameron Johnson, Isaac Howard, and Abby Howard; and a brother, Edward Rogers of Phoenix, AZ.
Services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in the Glenn Funeral Home chapel. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday and after 9 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Macedonia Baptist Church or the American Diabetes Association.
