Orville G. Tincher, 75, of Lewisport passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2016 in Chicago at Mt. Sinai Hospital. Mr. Tincher was born September 30, 1940 in Putnam County, Indiana to the late Wilfred and Edith (Lisby) Tincher. Orville was an over-the-road trucker and heavy equipment operator who loved to play practical jokes on people, especially jumping out from behind doors to scare someone. He was a "tinkerer" and was always working on something for himself or someone else.
Mr. Tincher was preceded in death by his brothers, Wayne, Roland, and Dennis Tincher.
Survivors include his companion of 25 years, Rebecca Widdifield; sons, Jason Tincher and his daughter Kaycee of Mooresville, Indiana and Clinton Tincher; brothers, Clifford Tincher of Greencastle, Indiana and Charles Tincher of Stilesville, Indiana; his "adopted family" in Kentucky included children, Anita, Lynda, Cathy, Bill, Sam, and Allan; 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren..
Visitation will be Tuesday August 30 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with a time of sharing at 6:30 PM. A Graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday August 31 at Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Hancock County.
