Orvil Glenn Muffett

January 18, 1918 — September 25, 2005

Orvil Glenn Muffett, Sr., 87, of Lewisport died Sunday, September 25, 2005 at the Hillcrest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Owensboro. Born January 18, 1918, Mr. Muffett was the son of the late James Lewis and Sena Winkler Muffett. He was a farmer and member of the Mt. Zion Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Crystabelle Goodall Muffett in 1991, a brother, Delbert Muffett and a sister, Ruby Lambert Ward.

Mr. Muffett is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Glenn, Jr. and Joyce Muffett of Lewisport; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sena and Charles Schaefer of Columbia, KY and Cappie and Tony Howard of Spottsville; several grandchildren including, Nikki, Daniel and Matthew Howard, Jason Muffett, and Courtney and Geoffrey Schaefer; a brother, Charles Kennard Muffett of Owensboro; and two sisters, Marcella Niceley of Owensboro and Rachel Estes of Lewisport.

Funeral services are 10 am Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2 until 8 on Monday and after 8:30 A.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Owensboro Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
