Opal Frances Bradley Pullen, 87, 2600 Elwood Court, Owensboro, wife of the late Dr. Harry A. Pullen, Jr., died Friday, May 26, 2006. Mrs. Pullen was also predeceased by her daughter, Judith Raney of Lexington, her sister, Lucy Sumner of Owensboro. Mrs Pullen is survived by her beloved son, Harry Butch Pullen III, of Owensboro; two granddaughters, Kristen Cooley of Springboro, OH, and Alexandra Banta of Lexington; a brother-in-law, Edward Pullen of Henderson; a half-sister, JoAnne Rains of Clinton, SC; two great-granddaughters, Madison and Allison Banta of Lexington. Mrs. Pullen was born and raised in Scottsville, KY. She graduated from Scottsville High School and Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, KY. She spent over 60 years in service to the United Methodist Church along side her reverend husband, Dr. Pullen. They touched the lives of countless people at the churches they served in Middletown, Madisonville, the Owensboro Circuit and Franklin, KY. The family would like to thank everyone for their love and support over the past several years.
Services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, at Glenn Funeral Home, conducted by long time friend of the family, Dr. Howard Willen. Burial and graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Crescent Hill Cemetery in Scottsville, KY. Friends may call between 5:00 and 7:00 PM Monday at the funeral home..Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 319 West 10th Street, Owensboro, KY, 42301.
