Opal Allison Odom

Opal Allison Odom, 91, of 3500 East 10th St, Owensboro, died Thursday, Jan 10, 2002 at the Owensboro Mercy Health System. She was born Sept, 27, 1910 in Pryorsburg, KY and was the last of nine siblings of the Allison family. She was a member of Third Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She and her family moved to Owensboro in 1952. Her husband, Valda R. Odom, died in 1989.

Survivors include three daughters, Jane Odom Martin and her husband, James, of Jamestown, NC, Joan Odom Johnson and her husband, Hubert, of Owensboro, Suzaanne Odom McGuire of Daytona Beach Fl, eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and a number of nephews and nieces.

Burial will be at the Little Obion Cemetery near Pryorsburg on Saturday, January 12. Graveside services with the immediate family will be at 2 P.M. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice Association, 723 Harvard Dr., Owensboro, KY 42301.
