Opal Eagleton Lawrence

Mrs. Opal Eagleton Lawrence, 91, of Oklahoma City, OK (formerly of Owensboro), died Friday, June 1, 2001 at The Fountains at Canterbury Nursing Center in Oklahoma City. The Beecher, IL, native was a member of Settle United Methodist Church and the Suzanna Wesley Sunday School Class. She was an active volunteer in all church activities.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Henry Lawrence in 1988.

Survivors include three sons, E. Fred Lawrence of Kingsport, TN, David Lawrence of Newburgh, IN, and James H. Lawrence of Wadesville, IN; three daughters, Rosalie Rogers of Tell City, IN, and Marilyn Miller and Patricia Current of Edmond, OK; 13 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; four sisters, Ruth Fritts of Decatur, IL, May Mauer of Phoenix, AZ, Nona Mize of Shelbyville, IL, and Lois Traughber of Fruitland, ID.

Funeral services are 10 A.M., Tuesday, June 5, 2001 at the Settle Memorial United Methodist Church with entombment in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Glenn Funeral Home from 4-8 P.M. Monday, June 4 and after 8:30 A.M. Tueday, June 5.
