Opal B. Brown

Opal B. Brown, 82, of Owensboro, died Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at Kindred Signature Hillcrest. She was born November 14, 1932, to the late Clifford and Lillie Belcher. Opal was of the Catholic faith and a member of St. Stephens Cathedral. She loved her husband of 58 years, Bill until his death, her children, grandchildren and lots of nieces and nephews. Opal enjoyed cooking, reading, playing bridge with her friends, and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her husband WM Patrick "Bill" Brown Sr. in 2009, a son David H. Brown, a daughter Barbara Brown, brother, James C. Belcher and a sister Thelma C. Murphy.

Survivors include her sons, William Pat Brown Jr. and Stephen Brown; daughter Jan Brown; two grandchildren, Matt Brown and Ashley Brown, all of Owensboro.

Services will be noon, Friday, December 12, 2014 at St. Stephens Cathedral. Burial will be private.
