Onnora Stone

Onnora Quinn Stone, 87, of Owensboro passed away Thursday, January 19, 2012 at her home. Born in Hancock County, Mrs. Stone was a daughter of the late Michael and Nellie Veach Quinn. She was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church and greatly enjoyed her family and her flowers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Albert Prinston Stone; her grandchildren, Todd Keller and Michael Morris; and her brothers and sisters, Lawrence Quinn, Don Quinn, Gene Quinn, Ollie Quinn, Curtis Quinn, and Roselee Shadwick.

Surviving are her sons, Carl Stone (Roselee) of Gallington, TN, David Stone (Connie) of Mesquite, TX, Darrell Stone and Glenn Stone, both of Russelville Marvin Stone (Cheryl) of Knottsville, Larry Stone (Lora) of Whitesville and Terry Stone (Jerry Lynn) of Hawesville; her daughters, Barbara Morris (Harold) and Bernice Knott (Danny), both of Whitesville, Geraldine Keller (George), Carol Harper (Gary), Veronica Trangas (Rick), Marilyn Stone, and, Cathy Horn, all of Owensboro, and Dianne Wilhite of North Carolina; 39 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Jim Quinn of Owensboro; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m., Monday January 23rd at Blessed Mother Catholic Church, followed by burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory Sunday, January 22nd, from 12:00 p.m. until the conclusion of prayers which begin at 7:00 p.m., and from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. Monday . Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hospice or Blessed Mother Catholic Church
