Ona Jean Boone Schroader

Ona Jean Boone Schroader, age 74, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born on July 2, 1938 in Daviess County, KY to the late Bernard and Ona Davis Boone.

Aside from her loving parents Ona is preceded in death by her beloved daughter; Angela Jean Smiley Mitchell, and two brothers; Delbert Boone and Harold Boone.

Ona was a member of the First Church of God for many years. She enjoyed fishing, cooking and sewing in her pastimes. Ona was a fun loving woman who also enjoyed good music and karaoke.

Left behind to mourn the passing of Ms. Schroader is her son; Billy Smiley and wife Barbara of Alabama, her daughter; LaTisha Smiley McLaughlin and husband Steve of Owensboro, four brothers; Jackie Boone and wife Linda, Reban Boone and wife Sharon, James " Bunny" Boone and wife Phyllis and Charles Boone and wife Pauline, and her sister; Linda Finley and husband Larry. She also leaves behind grandchildren; Matthew Mitchell and wife Kim, Candice Ballard and husband Jake, Reneah Skaggs and husband Todd, Cody Phelps, Brittany Pearce and husband Matthew, and Tyler Smiley.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, October 3rd in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Interment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00PM until 8:00PM on Tuesday and after 1:00PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
