Ollie Rice Brown

Ollie Rice Brown, 81 of Westerfield Drive, Owensboro, died Friday, September 16, 2011 at Hillcrest Healthcare Center. She was a native of Daviess County, born to the late Ollie and Anna Mae (Cook) Rice. She was of the Baptist faith, and attended First Baptist Church, was a homemaker and mother. She liked bingo, sewing, and flower arranging. Her husband of 54 years, William Barker Brown preceded her in death in 1998.
Surviving are her children; Johnnie (Louise) Brown of Stanley, Sandra (Gary) Shadwick of Whitesville, Linda (Dennis) Tillman of Clarksville, TN., Donna (Donald) Crowe, David Brown of Owensboro, Thomas (Sandra) Brown of Ft. Worth, TX., Debra (Steve) Burge of Owensboro, Sharon (Tim) Murphy of Lexington, and Robin Hardin of Owensboro, 19 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 19, 2011 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Dr. Paul Strahan officiating, with visitation after 11:00 a.m. Monday. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be expressed at www.glennfuneralhome.com.
