Oliver Henry Lasseigne, 79, of 4420 Antler Ave., Owensboro, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2005 at his home. He was born on February 7, 1926 in Laurel, Mississippi to the late Clifton & Harriet Braud Lasseigne. He retired after 36 years as an electrical engineer with General Electric and M.P.D. in Owensboro. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Louisiana State University, where he was a member of the Tau Beta Pi Fraternity (National Engineering Honorary Society) and was a U. S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Walker & Mae Calongne.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sue D. Lasseigne, a daughter, Suzanne L. Marshall and husband Joseph R. of Manassas, Va., a brother, Clifton C. Lasseigne of Baton Rouge, La., and two sisters, Dorothy Daly of Houston, Tx., and Blanche Baudouin of Thibodaux, La.
There will be a private service held on Thursday, March 24 and entombment will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
