Olieva Culbertson Galloway

Olieva Ellen Culbertson Galloway, 76, of Owensboro, died Friday, March 26, 2010, at her home. She was born September 7, 1933 to the late Edward Franklin and Myrtle Marie Goodman Culbertson in Ohio County. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, sewing, crocheting, mowing her yard, and cooking for her family, and being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Galloway on April 15, 1998; also two brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include her children; Elaine (Rex) Taylor, Sr., Patricia Bryant and Lilly Jo Cockrell, all of Owensboro, Bill (Mary) Galloway of Barrington, NH; thirteen grandchildren, Ellen Galloway, Lori Bryant, Bobbi Smith, Alisha Cockrell, Lindsey Cockrell, James Cockrell, III, Sean Smith, Ryan Mason, Rex Taylor, Jr., Tina Sleight, Bianca Clark, Caleb Galloway and Connor Galloway; twenty-two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruby (David) Randolls of Louisville, Kathleen Schroader of Dunmore, and a brother, Edward Culbertson of Ohio County; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 12:00 PM Tuesday, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday and after 10:00 AM Tuesday at the funeral home.
