Ola Patricia Hayden Simmons Wink

Ola Patricia Hayden Simmons Wink, 81, of Philpot, passed away Friday, January 2, 2015 at Hillcrest Health Care. Born in Daviess County on March 20, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Thomas E. and Ola B. Massey Hayden; was retired from General Electric and worked at Target for 7 years; and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She was an avid UK basketball fan and enjoyed playing Bingo. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Earl Simmons in 1995; a daughter, Debbie Rogers in 1994; and brothers, John Hayden, Delbert Hayden, Kenny Hayden and Larry Hayden.

Surviving is her husband of 12 years Nicholas J. Wink III; sons Steven (Pam) Simmons of Owensboro and Aaron (Diane) Simmons of Lexington; step-sons, Terry (Ann) Wink and Nick Alan (Janet) Wink both of Ensor; grandchildren, Matt (Ryan) Simmons of Owensboro and Christian Simmons of TX; step-grandchildren, Nick Joseph Wink, Heath Wink and T.J. Wink all of Ensor; brothers, Tommy
(Jeannette) Hayden of Owensboro, Glenn Hayden of VA, Harley Hayden of Pellville; and sister, Joyce Plouff of CA, and Monica (Robert) Gegugeit of VA.

Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with entombment following in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. on Monday and after 9 a.m. on Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where prayers will be said at 7 p.m. on Monday.
