Norris Lee Harris

Norris Lee Harris, 74, of Utica died on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at his home. He was born in Muhlenburg County to the late Oscar and Hazel Arnold Harris.

Norris retired from Alcoa Corporation in 2002 after 35 years of service. He attended First Presbyterian Church and was a longtime member of Masonic Lodge #130. He was also passionate about trains and belonged to the Owensboro and Elsewhere Train Club. Norris was generous with his time. He spent many hours helping others work on their tractors or other mechanical things and enjoyed doing it. Norris will be missed by many.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty Parsons Harris; sons, Andrew Mark Harris of Paducah and Robert Jason Harris of Urbana, IL; granddaughter, Elizabeth Anne Harris; half-sister, Rita Overturf of Herman, Missouri; aunt, Irene Arnold of Owensboro; and sisters-in-law, Dora Glenn of Owensboro and Rosalee Fleming of North Richland Hills, Texas.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 26 at First Presbyterian Church. Rev. Jonathan Carroll will officiate.
