Norma Jean Rickard

Norma Jean Scott Rickard, 91,of Owensboro passed away Friday, October 20, 2017 at her home. Born June 27, 1926 in St. Bernice, IN, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Dolly Pearman Scott; was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church; and had worked at K-Mart. Mrs. Rickard enjoyed cooking and caring for and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Myron Rickard in 1998; sons Ronald Eugene Rickard and Myron Jack Rickard; and a granddaughter, Laura Kay Rickard.

Surviving are sons Richard Lee Rickard, Barney Joe Rickard, and Randy Scott (Sherry) Rickard all of Owensboro; grandchildren, Amanda Alvey, Jackson (Ashley) Rickard, Jeff Rickard, Shane Rickard, Janice Rickard, Jennifer Rickard, Kaley (Zach) Hiland, Alyssa Davidson, and Cody Davidson; several great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and a sister, Elsie (Conrad) Gemmecke of Terre Haute, IN.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2017 in the Christ Chapel of Owensboro Memorial Gardens with Dr. James Wedding officiating.
