Nora Foster Brown

Nora Foster Brown, 83, of Owensboro passed away Thursday, June 11, 2009 at Wellington Parc. Born in Daviess County on June 3, 1926, Mrs. Brown was the daughter of the late Stewart and Ree Ora Adams Foster, was a homemaker, and member of Hall Street Baptist Church. She was active in her church as a member of the WMU, the Faith Sunday School Class, and the Homebound Ministry. She enjoyed working in her yard and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton W. Brown in 1986; brothers, Ray Foster and Ed Foster; and a sister, Myrdith Hamilton.

Mrs. Brown is survived by daughters, Peggy (Bob) Hill of Owensboro and Jurona Zandi of Indianapolis; sons, Scott (Jo Ann) Brown of Whitesville and David (Shane) Brown of Owensboro; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and sisters, Ethel Coffey, Nina Powers, and Vera Church all of Owensboro.

Services are 12 noon, Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Glenn Funeral Home followed by burial in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to Noon on Saturday at the funeral home.
